Colour is the most important aspect of my work, and I use it vigorously.   I strive to produce works which speak entirely for themselves using the physical properties of moving paint on canvas or board.  My source material is generally cerebral rather than visual. The titles of my paintings refer to the meaning each conveys to me.  However, abstract paintings speak differently to each person and this is one of the fascinations for me - I am happiest when the viewer finds a personal interpretation.

Living in the Highlands of Scotland, I have greatly enjoyed the friendship of, and exchange of ideas with, other members of the Redcastle Art Group and the Art Society of Inverness.  

As well as showing my work in local exhibitions and galleries, I have exhibited in other parts of Scotland, and have also accepted commissions.
